Know the process
What happens first, what happens next, and which deadlines matter.
Your guide through insurance claims & restitution
Don’t know the process? Not sure who to call or what documents you need? We’ve been through it ourselves, more than once. We’ll walk with you through every step. Let us help you handle it.
+$30,000+
over $30,000 more than we were originally told
more than we were originally told, in total, on one case. No lawyer: we researched the process and built our own documentation.
more than the insurer’s “take it or leave it” value on our totaled truck.
recovered in restitution, with documentation we put together ourselves.
From our own recent DUI case: a totaled truck and restitution. An example, not a promise. Every claim is different. We did it without a lawyer, but sometimes you do need one, and we’ll tell you when.
Our mission
Don’t know the process? Not sure who to talk to? Want guidance on how to get taken care of? In our experience, insurers can mislead you and don’t always tell you the full picture, and the person on the phone doesn’t always know the rules. We’ll guide you through it.
Tired of paying for insurance and then having to fight for what’s fair? We’re here to help make sure you aren’t misled, and to guide you through the process, including the legal side if it goes there.
Think of us like a car-buying consultant, but for insurance claims and restitution. Big firms usually only take cases with serious money. We work with you no matter how small it is.

Your insurer, theirs, the claims department, the court, the victim advocate. In the right order.
The reports, photos, receipts, and comparables that actually get taken seriously.
What your policy actually covers, so you can spot a lowball and push back.
How working with us works
A free first conversation. Give us the short version, messy details and all.
Who to call, what to ask for, what to document, and the deadlines, laid out in plain words.
We walk with you through every call, letter, and filing, and help you prepare to speak up for yourself.
Fair, low-cost, no overpaying. The point is to help you keep more of what you’re owed, not spend it on getting help.
How insurers think
Adjusters can be perfectly nice people. But the company they work for makes money by paying out less. In our experience, they act in their own interest, not yours. Plan for that.
“This is our final offer.”
A first offer is often an opening number. It tends to move when you show, in writing, why it’s wrong.
“That’s what your truck is worth.”
Total-loss values usually come from their software and their comparables. You can bring your own: real listings, options, condition, mileage.
“We don’t use OEM parts.”
Cheaper parts save them money. What you’re owed depends on your policy wording and your state’s rules, so read both and ask.
“They won’t cover this.”
“Won’t” isn’t a policy section. Ask which clause, in writing. Then check your own coverage too, like uninsured motorist.
“You’d need an expensive appraiser.”
Sometimes you do. Sometimes clean, organized documentation that you build yourself is what moves the needle.
“Just sign so we can close this out.”
Speed usually helps them. Know what you’re releasing before you sign, and don’t let anyone rush you.
This is our honest take from our own claims, not legal advice. Your policy and your state’s law decide the details.
Our own case, shared as an example, not a promise of results.
How we did it
The same five steps got us through every one of our claims. Now we walk other people through them.
Get the decision, the reason, and the exact policy language in writing.
All of it. The answer to “that’s not covered” is often in there.
Photos, reports, receipts, comparable listings, every call logged with a date and a name.
Appraisal clauses, complaints, restitution, small claims. Each has steps and deadlines.
Calm letters with proof attached. And if it’s time for a real lawyer, you show up ready.
What we help with
Checking their number and building your own case for what the vehicle was really worth.
Finding what your policy actually says and pushing back in writing.
Organizing the documentation so your loss is clear, on paper.
Who pays, which policies to check, and what to file when you’re told there’s nothing.
Kind words Sample testimonials
“The adjuster said the rental wasn’t covered. They showed me exactly where it was in my policy.”
“I thought my claim was too small to fight. They didn’t. Honest, patient, and they actually call back.”
“They told me upfront I needed a real attorney, and helped me show up organized.”
The first conversation is free. Tell us what happened and we’ll walk you through what comes next, honestly.
